Practical Electronics Crash Course (Bundle)

  • BrandElektor Bundles

Description

Getting started in electronics is not as difficult as you may think. With this bundle (book + kit of parts), you can explore and learn the most important electrical and electronics engineering concepts in a fun way by doing various experiments. You will learn electronics practically without getting into complex technical jargon and long calculations. As a result, you will be creating your own projects soon.

This kit contains the components required to build most of the detailed examples of the book on a breadboard and try them out for real.

The kit can, of course, also be used without the book for building other circuits and doing your own experiments.

Fun and Easy to Follow Course

I ordered the bundle and it was delivered to my door in USA within two weeks. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it since its arrival. The material is highly relevant and easy to follow. I also downloaded the circuit simulation program included, which has been incredibly helpful for working through the simulations and exercises. I am very pleased with my purchase and will definitely be buying another training bundle like this in the near future.

A must-have guide for aspiring electronics enthusiasts

This book is an exceptional resource that makes the world of electronics accessible and enjoyable for newcomers. The book excels in its clear, step-by-step instructions and well-organized content, making it easy to follow along and build a strong foundation.

Each chapter introduces key concepts with simplicity and precision, accompanied by detailed diagrams and real-world examples that demystify complex ideas. The hands-on projects are particularly valuable, allowing readers to immediately apply what they've learned and see the results of their efforts.

What I appreciate most is the author's ability to explain things in an engaging and approachable manner, anticipating common pitfalls and providing helpful troubleshooting tips. This book is perfect for anyone looking to dive into electronics, whether you're a hobbyist, student, or simply curious about how things work. It's a comprehensive, user-friendly guide that I highly recommend!"

    Good kit

The quality of the components could be better, resistor colour bands are poor, more emphasis should be put on the description that a lot of components/equipment required to do everything are not included.

The book is not without faults, and should have been proof read. Words missing out of sentences, and showing an inverting operational amplifier as a non-inverting operational amplifier could cause confusion.

The book also lacked technical depth, and should not have included poor coverage of microcontrollers. Also having an illustration showing the keyboard of a Pi connected to the micro SD slot shows lack of quality. The "advanced" chapters should have been removed, they are very shallow in detail and add nothing to the book. I would have preferred more technical detail in the previous chapters a section on using operational amplifiers to increase signal from sensors would have been appreciated, including non-linear sensors. Additions to the electronics kit to provide more practical circuits, that had shallow coverage in the book, with no actual circuits, would have been better. The section on EMI was far from detailed. Fortunately, I had other kits so I could extend the circuits that were hinted at in the book to actual experiments. I expected better from Elektor, this kit has made me think a lot more about buying anything else from you.
